Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Bart earned his stripes as an entrepreneur and visionary by founding the Web content management company GX Software in the early days of the World Wide Web. At GX Software, he helped drive growth with his strategic insights into the online market, first as head of sales and business development operations and later as CEO. Bart's firm belief in the power of online engagement subsequently inspired him to co-found BlueConic. Under his leadership, BlueConic has become a highly successful provider of online marketing software. He holds a master's degree in communication and new media from the University of Nijmegen. Chief Operating Officer
Cory has spent her career on the cutting edge of marketing technology and brings years working with Fortune 500 clients from various industries to BlueConic. Before joining the BlueCrew, she was an analyst at Forrester Research where she covered business and consumer technology trends and the fast-moving marketing tech landscape. A sought-after speaker and industry voice, Cory’s work has been featured in Venture Beat, Wired, AdAge, and AdWeek, as well as spoken at conferences such as FutureM, MITX, and the Association of National Advertisers. A life-long Bostonian, Cory has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Boston College and spends a considerable amount of her non-work hours on various volunteer and philanthropic initiatives in the greater Boston community. Chief Financial Officer
Harmen holds a degree as Executive Master of Accounting and has a wide-ranging background in financial services and in the technical industry. In his previous job, as a Financial Manager for Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL), he contributed to Apple's continuing expansion in Europe. As Chief Financial Officer, he is responsible for all corporate accounting, controlling, tax and finance activities.
Jeff joins BlueConic from Tableau, a SalesForce company, after a nearly six-year stint as the company’s Vice President of Sales. Prior to Tableau, Jeff led large enterprise sales teams at SAP and Ariba for more than eight years. He has over 25 years' experience in enterprise sales and started his career in corporate accounting. Jeff's expertise is in successfully scaling sales teams to meet the demands of high-growth, B2B enterprise software firms. Outside of work, Jeff enjoys family time with his wife Angela and three children and one newborn grandchild. He is also involved in a number of non-profits and is a founding board member of the Andrew Weishar Foundation.
SVP, Customer Success
Jackie has spent her career at the intersection of data and customer success. Most recently, Jackie was a partner at ScaleHouse, where she helped data and analytics companies scale their commercial and product strategies. Before ScaleHouse, she served as Chief Client Officer at Simmons Research, where she spearheaded its client-first strategy, directed all sales and client service, led the custom research business, and helped transition Simmons from an Experian sub-brand to a stand-alone, private-equity-owned company. She also held various roles at Forrester Research and J.D. Power & Associates, innovating with clients on ways to bring data into their organizations. As a frequent speaker and lecturer, Jackie’s expertise has been cited in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and more. In addition to her current role, Jackie also serves as the lead for the Boston chapter of WIRe, advises the American Cancer Society’s Young Executive Committee, and is a Board Member of the National Association of Women Sales Professionals. The rest of her time is spent with family and friends, engaging in various physical pursuits, or reading.
Michele has over fifteen years of experience within the digital marketing and advertising ecosystem. Prior to joining BlueConic as the global head of marketing and business development, she led product marketing at multi-touch attribution leader, Visual IQ, which was acquired by Nielsen in 2017. Michele also spent more than eight years in digital media and analytics roles serving Fortune 500 brands in financial services, retail, and telecom during her tenure at media agencies, Carat and Havas. Despite her love of living in the greater Boston area, Michele is a proud, born-and-raised Jersey girl. She earned her bachelor’s degree in communication from Boston University with a liberal arts concentration in philosophy. When she’s not philosophizing about first-party data at BlueConic, you can find her hiking the trails, playing with her Mini Australian Shepherd, and trying new recipes.
SVP, People and Talent
Katherine has spent her career partnering with leaders and teams as they navigate the changes that accompany growth. She leverages her more than 20 years’ experience with large and small companies across industries to develop programs and processes with an eye to promoting each organization’s unique culture. Katherine’s work focuses on the greatest asset any organization has: its people. This focus takes shape in the development of individuals and teams who are then well suited to create value and achieve a company’s goals. Prior to joining BlueConic, Katherine led People Operations at Litmus, Inc. and previous to that spent 10 years running human resources at Permabit, Inc. (RedHat). When she’s not working with the BlueCrew, you can find Katherine on her yoga mat, checking (and adding to) her list of places to explore near and far, or catching up with some of her favorite humans on Zoom.
VP, Professional Services
Dave is an experienced adtech veteran who has led SaaS-based product implementations for more than 12 years. He has spent the majority of his career in customer success roles leading enterprise client engagements. Dave joined BlueConic from Nielsen, where he led the Operations team responsible for the delivery of Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) and Lift products supporting the Americas region. Prior to Nielsen, Dave led the Project Management Office at Visual IQ, where he guided the PM team, developed processes, and defined best practices for the delivery of the company’s multi-touch attribution product. Dave also played a large role in an organizational transformation that resulted in the creation of the Implementation team, which he managed. In his spare time, Dave enjoys spending time with his wife, Anna, and their two boys, and making time to play golf.
Board of Directors
Henry Ancona has over 30 years of management experience with large and small global technology-based companies. He currently serves as executive advisor, board chair/member, and angel investor to technology companies. Henry brings strategic, operational and leadership development experience to his advisory and board service. He was President at Pegasystems, and CEO at Evidian, a cybersecurity software company which he founded. Earlier, Henry held senior management positions both in Europe and in the US at Digital Equipment (now HP). As Executive Advisor, Henry teams with CEOs and Boards on a broad range of strategic, operational, people, financing and board issues to achieve growth and profitability. His clients include companies in healthcare, AI and software businesses. Henry is a venture partner at Companyon Ventures, and is an angel investor in software and software-enabled businesses such as HubSpot and Carbonite. Henry holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, and BS and MS degrees from MIT in Computer Science. Henry is fluent in French and Italian, and has lived in several European countries and in the Middle East.
Martijn van Berkum
Founder & CTO, BlueConic
Martijn co-founded and built Web content management market leader GX Software, working alongside Bart as CTO. He then co-founded BlueConic, fueled by a passion to radically improve online engagement by reducing the cross-channel gap that we as consumers notice every day in communicating with brands, large and small. Martijn brings to BlueConic deep experience in product management and business development, expertly integrating technology, the Internet and marketing. He has a passion for staying abreast of cutting-edge tech and anticipating its impact on markets, business, and society. A true visionary, Martijn drives the company's thought leadership, collaborating with R&D and marketing to translate his vision into a world-class product. Founding Partner, Spring Lake Equity Partners
Dan is a founding partner of Spring Lake Equity Partners. Prior to founding Spring Lake, Dan served as a Partner in Tudor Investment Corporation’s private equity group, the predecessor to Spring Lake, since 2000. He has focused on investments in the wireless, mobile and internet sectors. Dan currently serves on the board of MediaMath, BlueConic, One Door, Gravy Analytics and Benu Networks. Dan also currently serves as a board observer on Matrixx Software. Prior investments where Dan served as a director or board observer include ArcSoft, Wimba, N2 Broadband, Shoebuy , and Wavelink. Prior to Spring Lake Equity Partners, Dan spent three years as a Vice President and Senior Public Equity Research Analyst with Friedman, Billings, Ramsey, a Northern Virginia-based investment bank, focusing on public and private companies in the internet, media, and technology industries. As a public equity analyst in the late 1990s, Dan conducted research on several emerging companies, including America Online, eBay, DoubleClick and Network Solutions. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Trinity College in Hartford.
Managing Director, Sigma Prime Ventures
John is responsible for investments in both new and existing technology businesses. Special areas of interest include software companies with an emphasis on mobile and software-as-a-service platforms, and disruptive technology companies in a variety of areas. Previous to joining Sigma Prime, he was a co-founder and managing director of General Catalyst Partners, where he served on the board of directors or was otherwise involved in a portfolio of companies, including Jumptap, Paydiant, OwnCloud, Big Fish Games, BetterLesson, Mocospace, Thumb, Swirl, Swoop, CyPhy Works, BionX, Aidin, TearScience, Fractyl, Corvia Medical, and more. John is a member of the World Presidents’ Organization (WPO) and is a co-founder and current trustee of the Steppingstone Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides educational opportunities to deserving inner-city students. In addition, he’s continued his involvement with the non-profit sector by founding the GreenLight Fund (www.greenlightfund.org), which spurs the replication and growth of innovative non-profits.
Chief Product Officer, Alteryx
Suresh Vittal is the chief product officer (CPO) of Alteryx and is responsible for the strategic vision of Alteryx’s leading analytics and data science innovation. Suresh leads the Product Management, Engineering and Development organizations, playing a critical role in the company’s cloud, data science and analytics automation product strategy. His experience driving cloud transformation for leading software companies is helping Alteryx make machine learning and artificial intelligence easily accessible to citizen users. With over 20 years of experience at various size and stage companies, Suresh has led teams across platform and product strategy, product marketing, pricing, packaging and go-to-market strategy. Most recently, he was responsible for overseeing product management, product marketing and go-to-market strategy for Adobe’s Digital Experience business, including Adobe Experience Cloud, one of the most comprehensive set of applications helping brands drive digital transformation. Suresh joined Adobe through the company’s acquisition of Neolane in 2013, where he served as chief product officer. Before Neolane, he was instrumental in building and scaling the Customer Intelligence practice at Forrester Research, where his research agenda focused on enterprise marketing technologies, database marketing strategies and customer analytics. Suresh holds a master’s degree in business administration from Greenwich College, The University of Hull in the United Kingdom, as well as a master’s degree of science in computer information systems from Bentley College.
