1. I’ve been a vegetarian for more than half my life

JK those are all true…I’m a horrible liar.
What have you learned in your time at BlueConic – about startups, about your role, about your team, about yourself?
A: I’ve not only grown an incredible amount in my own role, but I’ve also learned about every area that makes a company run – that’s the beauty of a startup. I’m taking on new challenges every day and realizing that these miscellaneous tasks become a list of things I’ve learned how to do – and even more are the things that I enjoy doing everyday. Most of all, I’d say that I’ve learned SO much about myself since joining the BlueCrew. For me, finding a place that allowed me to absorb an immense amount of knowledge while also granting me the space and trust to open myself to new ideas, has allowed me find new passions – helping me grow professionally and personally.
What has challenged you the most? How did you deal (or are you dealing) with that challenge?
A: I’ve been the most challenged with our team’s task of taking our processes that work and making them amaze. Whether it’s LeadGen, data cleaning, analysis reports or ad campaigns, they should all run with ease and proficiency. It’s something that you have to teach yourself – but when they start working and help everyone else even just a little, it pays off.
If you could change one thing about your time here so far, what would it be?
A: I can honestly say the worse thing about working here is that sometimes Cory’s candy bowl runs out of Kit Kats.
What’s your advice to the newest members of the Crew (if you’ve been here) OR what was your acclimation to BlueConic like (for the newer folks)?
A: Mimic the work ethic of the person next to you – prove yourself in your work and you’ll gain the respect and trust that builds our company.
Why are you at BlueConic – what was it about your interview that you remember and made you want to be here? What keeps you here?
A: I remember smiling like a 4 year old at the penguin exhibit during my interview when Cory & Co. were explaining their dreams for the company, especially when they were explaining how hard they are working to actually achieve their goals – and even more when they answered questions on how I would fit into that. I was truly inspired and left my interview with a new standard set for the type of company I wanted to work for. It’s that same attitude that becomes infectious and drives me to do my best day after day.
In the near and middle term, what are you focused on? What would you like to do that you aren’t or haven’t been able to do?
A: Revamping product pages, cleaning up campaigns, designing customer case studies, and driving inbound – we’re definitely not bored!
If you could switch roles with anyone else in the company for a day, whose job would you choose and why?
A: Cory. She is one of the people that everyone in the office goes to for guidance and I love how she takes control of that responsibility like a total boss. She’s secretly also a unicorn and who doesn’t want to be a unicorn?!?
A: Cucumber Avocado Roll x2…and like 3 gallons of miso soup!
