What have you learned in your time at BlueConic – about startups, about your role, about your team, about yourself?
A: I’ve learned I fully intend to always work in a start up environment. The drive and dedication of those working hand in hand as a team to grow a successful company creates a real feeling of a family atmosphere that I love.
What has challenged you the most? How did you deal (or are you dealing) with that challenge?
A: The product is so versatile that it creates the possibility for many, many use cases based individually on a company’s challenges. Due to this, it took a bit for me to get down how to explain it in a simple, easy to understand manner which would also get across how valuable of a platform it really is. Can’t be upset about your product being too good though.
If you could change one thing about your time here so far, what would it be?
A: Not eat so many Stroopwafels. They don’t help with dropping some LBs for beach season.
What’s your advice to the newest members of the Crew (if you’ve been here) OR what was your acclimation to BlueConic like (for the newer folks)?
A: Come in ready to work with your sense of humor on deck and focus on the success of the team, not just yourself. Make sure you are 100% committed and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
Why are you at BlueConic – what was it about your interview that you remember and made you want to be here? What keeps you here?
A: After interviewing with Kevin, Cory, and Bart I realized this is where I wanted to be. Their passion about building this company was extremely impressive to me. After meeting them I only saw success in the future and wanted to be a part of it.
In the near and middle term, what are you focused on? What would you like to do that you aren’t or haven’t been able to do?
A: My focus is coming in ready to give it my all every day and do everything I can to help us kill it.
What is your favorite BlueConic product feature?
A: The Segmentation tool
Favorite sports team:
A: Whoever Kevin Durant plays for.
A: “I’d rather have more heart than talent any day.” -Allen Iverson
What is something on your bucket list?
A: See Bruce Springsteen live (checking that off in September).
Who is your biggest hero?
A: My mom. She’s an awesome person who will not hesitate to help anyone who needs it.
Favorite Spotify playlist at work:
A: Slayer, Chainsmokers, or The 1975.
