Name: Will Quinones

Where did you grow up?: United States
What have you learned in your time at BlueConic?
A: I’ve worked at startups trying to transition to bigger companies my whole career, so it has been eye-opening to see how it all starts out. There’s a real sense of accomplishment knowing that when you come in every day, what you do actually has an impact on the company.
Also, the places I’ve worked before have been more services-oriented compared to software-oriented, so learning the software side of customer interaction has been new.
What has challenged you the most at BlueConic?
I deal with it by learning what I can when I can and, of course, getting some help from the remarkably talented individuals we have on staff. I also stay confident in my ability to learn and improve is important as well.
What, if anything, would you change about BlueConic?
A: It’s all too easy to fall into a trap of thinking about what you could have done better, so, instead, I’ll say I wish I created a secret horde of granola bars for when we run out and have to wait for a Peapod delivery.
What’s your advice to the newest #BlueCrew members?
A: Stay humble, and come in every day ready to do your best!
What made you believe BlueConic was right for you?
A: I remember all of the people I met with were definitely TCB (taking care of business) people. No one was going to slack off and let everyone else carry them over the finish line. These are the kind of people I fit in with best professionally.
What keeps me here is it turns out these people are actually pretty interesting and fun folks to boot! A big factor that keeps me here is the fact that I am learning new things every day and overcoming obstacles I never dreamed I could.
What’s your big focus at the moment? In the future?
A: Account retention is the name of the game right now. I’d like to help improve the infrastructure and help put some really effective processes in place, so those are goals of mine as well.
What is your favorite BlueConic product feature?
A: The segment builder is an excellent feature in BlueConic. It looks great, gets the point across, and is easy to use.
Which #BlueCrew member would you switch places with?
A: I’d switch with Patrick Atoon — but only if his knowledge comes with it. He is very versatile and knowledgeable and always has a great attitude.
What’s your favorite sushi order?
A: I’d have to go with the salmon roll.
What is your favorite sports team?
A: FC Twente is definitely my favorite.
What’s your favorite office furniture?
A: The papasan chairs. (I try to claim one for every “living room” meeting in the office.)
What’s your at-work Spotify playlist?
A: It’s “Summer Hits of the 90s,” beyond shadow of a doubt.
What did you want to be while growing up?
A: I think I wanted to be an astronaut. Or a pirate. Or maybe a space pirate?
