BlueConic, the originally Dutch market leader in the fast-growing market for customer data platforms (CDP), has appointed experienced entrepreneur and business strategist Marc van Bommel as European sales director to further develop growth and build the European partner ecosystem.
Starting in the Netherlands, BlueConic was started in 2010 by CEO Bart Heilbron and CTO Martijn van Berkum. In 2014, the company moved it’s global HQ to Boston and has since built an impressive customer base worldwide, which now consists of more than 250 clients such as Hearst Newspapers, Virgin Mobile and Moen. Since 2017, BlueConic has been included in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Digital Marketing Hubs. BlueConic is one of the few pure customer data platforms, bringing together all customer data within a company and enabling marketers to activate a single view of customers where and when needed throughout marketing applications, devices and channels. Companies such as KPN, ING, T-Mobile and ANWB work with BlueConic to realize personalized campaigns, higher conversions and improved retention.
Marc van Bommel has over 20 years of experience in growing companies of various sizes in the marketing, mobile and IT sector. He was closely involved in the creation of various start-ups and, most recently, served several years with enterprise sales at SAP. Marc van Bommel says: “The CDP market is jumping up in Europe. We know from the US that a customer data platform is a crucial tool to get a holistic overview of each customer and interact with each of them in real time. It is, of course, great to be allowed to play a role in driving the market at such a decisive moment. ”
Bart Heilbron, CEO at BlueConic: “Now that we are the undisputed global market leader in this still young market, we are eager to expand our activities in Europe from the Netherlands.”
