You may choose to provide us with your personal data directly in a variety of situations. For example, you may want to give us your name and contact information while on our website so that we may communicate with you, process an order, provide you with certain documentation or service information, or do business with us as a customer, supplier, or other form of business partner. BlueConic is authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to you. We collect and process personal data concerning clients and visitors to this website and the BlueConic SaaS services platform for the benefit of the business operations of BlueConic, in order to inform you about, and to make available information, documentation, services and other products that may be relevant to you, and to further develop and update website statistics. We gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes Internet Protocol (“IP”) addresses, browser type and language, internet service provider (“ISP”), referring and exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and other data. We do not automatically link collected data stored in our log files to other information we collect about you. We also collect information when you interact with our (third party) social networking pages. What are cookies?
There are many functions cookies serve. For example, they help us to remember your login data, authentication data, and other essential information, but also to help us to remember non-essential information such as your preferences. Also, these cookies help you to analyze how well our website is performing, or allow us to recommend certain content we believe will be most relevant to you.
Certain cookies contain personal data. For example, if you click to “remember me” when logging in to the BlueConic website, a cookie will store your username. Most cookies will not collect information that identifies you, and will instead collect more general information such as how users arrive at and use our website, or a user’s general location. See www.allaboutcookies.org for more information.
What kinds of cookies and other tracking technologies does BlueConic use?
Generally, our cookies and similar tracking technologies perform the following functions:
These cookies are essential for the core operation of our website and are automatically enabled when you use the website. We also store your permission setting in a cookie to remember this for future visits (“Opt-in/Opt-out Cookie”).
These cookies help to improve the performance of the website by providing a better user experience. This allows us to provide you with a high-quality experience by customizing our website and content, and quickly identifying and fixing any issues that arise. For example, we use performance cookies to keep track of which pages are most popular, which method of linking between pages is most effective, and to determine why some pages are receiving error messages. To the extent BlueConic uses these cookies, you can either enable or disable these cookies.
Online Behavioral Cookies:
These cookies are used for customer profiling for the BlueConic Services platform. The BlueConic Services Platform progressively builds an individual customer profile across several channels, from first touch of an anonymous visitor building up to a known customer in a CRM system, and with all real-time channel switches and identifying necessary transfers and mergers in between. This allows BlueConic to dynamically segment these individuals based on these profiles by serving the most relevant content on the BlueConic website and initializing online interactions. Click the hyperlink, to learn more about the BlueConic Services platform. You can either enable or disable these cookies.
Other Tracking Technologies:
We and our marketing partners, affiliates, video or analytics or customer support service providers also use beacons, tags, and scripts, to analyze trends, administer the website, track users’ movements around the website, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies by these companies on an individual and aggregated basis.
We partner with a third party to either display advertising on our website or to manage our advertising on other sites. Our third party partner may use technologies such as cookies or similar technologies to gather information about your activities on this website and other sites in order to provide you advertising based upon your browsing activities and interests. If you wish to not have this information used for the purpose of serving you interest-based ads, you may opt-out by using the permission settings dialog that is provided on this website and that controls the permission for the use of third party cookies or by clicking here [or if located in the European Union click here]. Please note this does not opt you out of being served ads. You will continue to receive generic ads.
BlueConic also uses or allows third parties to serve cookies that may fall into one of the four categories above. For example, we use Google Analytics to help us monitor our website traffic.
We may also use third party cookies to help us with market research, improving website functionality, and monitoring compliance. Similarly, when you use one of the share buttons on the BlueConic website, a cookie may be set by the service you have chosen to share content through.
The website and applications may include buttons, widgets, tools or content that link to other company services, for example, a Facebook ‘Like’ button or the share button. We may collect information about your use of these features.
The permission for the use of these third party cookies is also controlled by the permission settings dialog that is provided on the website. Once the permission has been granted, BlueConic does not control the dissemination of these third party cookies. You should check the relevant third party website for more information about these cookies.
